The year is 1846. Under the rule of Queen Victoria, Lord Nicholas Sterling is considered one of the most eligible bachelors in the region. He not only holds a title, but the Sterling family has a decent fortune to boot, with their booming shipping company and busy trade routes securing their economy. The life as Lady Sterling would most certainly be one of comfort and luxury. 

Once word got out that Lord Sterling was actively seeking a suitable wife, several families saw an opportunity to improve their lives - either by wealth, status or both. Many letters were sent, and after a lengthy process of scrutiny, Lord Sterling has decided on which lucky potentials he will invite to an informal summer gathering at his manor. During these joyful summer days - and nights - the invited will have a chance to get better acquainted with Lord Sterling and attempt to gain a life envied by all.
